Happy Birthday Churchplanting.com!

by | Apr 27, 2012 | Church Planting | 0 comments

This week is the one-year birthday of our site. It’s been quite a year at that – much more productive than any of us behind the scenes anticipated when we launched 12 months ago. Consider some of the stats:

  • 40,000 distinct visitors!
  • Visitors from 174 countries! (we didn’t know there were than many countries – we had visitors from pretty much everywhere except North Korea!)
  • We now average between 500 and 600 visitors per day with some days topping over 1,000 hits.

We are incredibly grateful for all our followers. You are tweeting and liking our posts to people in the hinterlands. Keep it up!

We are also thankful for our incredibly gifted and insightful bloggers – the several dozen expert voices who contribute here each day of each month.

Thanks for following us. We have a feeling this next year is going to be even better than last. The best is yet to come!

Steve Sjogren

Steve Sjogren is widely regarded as the father of servant evangelism — the idea that small acts of kindness, done consistently and without strings attached, can change a church, a community, and eventually the world. He is the founding pastor of Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, which he and his wife Janie launched with a group of five people — eventually growing to over 7,000 weekly attenders across seven weekend services.

His first book, Conspiracy of Kindness, has sold over 300,000 copies and has been translated into several languages. Today he writes, speaks, and mentors church planters around the world.
